{four} months old...

In the midst of everything else we have going on (Chase's birthday, Audrey's recital, Memorial Day, Grayson's christening and Audrey's birthday just to name a few), Grayson just turned 4 months... I think all I need to write is, God I LOVE this kid! He is seriously the absolute best baby on so many levels. He is happy all the time, except when he is hungry and then he gets pretty pissed (especially when he has to wait which is 9 times out of 10). He sleeps, naps and thru the night, constantly. He smiles and giggles and talks and just makes your heart melt. He has started talking a lot recently which is hilarious. It is tough to be heard in this house and I think he is going to hold his own. He has started reaching and playing with toys to entertain himself (and dump over your water if it is too close, watch out). I just got out the jumpy and exersaucer this weekend which I think he will love. He wants to be sitting up all the time, and he is quickly getting over his bouncer and play mat. He is still not turning over which is kind of interesting to me but whatever, I'm sure he will do it when he is good and ready. His christening is next weekend and we are all excited to have the entire family (minus Uncle Sean and Uncle Vinnie who will be missed) coming out to celebrate. Plenty of pictures to come on that I am sure...

Here is my baby, sun hat courtesy of our Chattanooga cousins... Too cute!

memorial day...

I have to say we had a near perfect Memorial Day weekend this year...

We started off beach season (or the real beach season, seeing as we had already been 2x already before this weekend which still blows my mind) right, going down Saturday and Sunday and spending the majority of the day there both times. The weather was perfect and the kids had an absolute blast. Chase woke up this morning and asked if we were going again today. Our response was "no, we actually have to do stuff today", boo right? It is amazing that Audrey and Chase can keep themselves entertained for hours while we are there, they certainly don't even come close to that at home. Grayson did a whole lot better than his first 2 trips, but still not quite a beach baby. He definitely does not like the wind which is understandable. He dipped his feet in the ocean for the first time and it didn't seem to bother him, I was expecting him to let out a scream, so maybe there is hope.

Here are some pictures of our beach bums...

We enjoyed bbq-ing with neighbors Saturday and Sunday as well, always a fun time had by all. Today we stayed home but enjoyed the weather and got some much needed stuff done around the house. Hope you all had a fabulous long weekend too! Back to work tomorrow, at least it is a short week right??

easy like sunday morning...

We ate breakfast outside this morning, love it... Just relaxing on a Sunday morning and listening to music and our goofy crazy kids... Ready for this weather to stay!

p.s. if anyone has tips on how to take a picture of 3 kids please let me know... I am beginning to think it is impossible!

Audrey's Dance Debute...

Audrey had her first dance recital yesterday and I couldn't be prouder of her... She was so excited about the whole thing! We ended up getting a sitter for Chase & Grayson which worked out great. It was nice to be able to do something with Audrey by herself and make a big deal about her accomplishment (let alone Chase would have never sat still for 3 hours!). Her class is a ballet/tap combo so she had 2 performances and both were adorable. I really liked her teacher and thought she did an awesome job on everything from the costumes to the music selection. We got her flowers to give her after, all pink of course and she was thrilled. I still remember vividly my own dance recitals and always getting flowers after from my mom and dad... Seems like yesterday instead of 20+ years ago... Here's our little princess, growing up way too fast...

mother's day...

This is my first year celebrating being a mom of three children and I couldn't have asked for a better Mother's Day... I woke up to a wonderful breakfast and tons of gifts that were all so special (thank you Charlie and and Jeannine for your help :). The sun is out and it is usually warm so we took advantage and went to Pond Meadow for a couple hours. The kids rode their bikes for the first time which was awesome (can't wait til we can all go out for a real bike ride!) and we sat and had a picnic lunch. We plan to relax and hang outdoors the rest of the day which is just fine by me.

Mother's Day makes me reflect not on myself as a mom but on how lucky I am to have been raised by such a wonderful mom and how blessed I am to have three healthy, beautiful children. It is a huge responsibility being a mom that I take for granted most days. I can only hope I will succeed in raising them to be the best they can be... So far it seems to be working :) Happy Mother's Day to all you momma's out there! Enjoy the day and YOUR beautiful children...

three years old...

So today my first baby boy turned 3 years old... Wow, talk about time flying by... Chase has really come into his own this past year. He has quite a unique personality, very animated when talking, yet totally anal and type A. I tried hard to have him really enjoy his birthday this year. I feel like 3 is when they really get it finally... He had an awesome birthday party last Saturday and I think had a pretty fun day today, ending with chicken fingers, chocolate cupcakes and lots of awesome presents (garbage truck, fire truck, cash register, loved everything!)...

Happy birthday to my sweet baby boy! I love you so much and can't wait to see what your next year brings...
