{three} months...

So my baby boy turned 3 months old yesterday... AHHHH! I have a love/hate relationship with this age. I love it because they start to become interactive and so fun and hate it because it means I have to go back to work. We don't dwell on that right now though... Grayson is so cute right now I can't even stand it. He is such a happy baby smiles all the time, especially when you are changing his diaper which is hilarious. He started "talking" and giggling recently which I just love too. He has also started moving everywhere, like I put him on his play mat in one place and I come back 5 minutes later and he is in a totally different place. Still not sure they do that? He is not flipping over yet, but is trying pretty hard and likes to flip to his side and lay there. He has been sleeping thru the night for several weeks now which is awesome. He is frequently the last one up in the house which is crazy to me. We are transitioning from solely breast feeding to bottles since I am going back to work. He has had a hard time with it, which is interesting to me as the other two had no issues with bottles, but he is almost there now... As you can see, it is pretty scary how much he looks like Chase (and Audrey) (see Chase's at 3 month post is here), and it seems more so everyday.

{beach time} in APRIL...

Its April, and we went to the beach for the second time this year on Monday. In Massachusetts, how crazy is that? I'm so not complaining though... We had a hot spell with several 80 degree days in a row over what happened to be a long weekend here (Patriots Day is one of the many reasons I love living here) which meant the whole family got to go... My sister and her boyfriend are here too so we loaded up the car and headed down early Monday and spent most of the day playing in the sand and water (yes, it is still freezing!). Grayson has not been so excited about the beach on his first 2 trips, but I have my fingers crossed that will change. He was very unsettled for awhile but I finally got him alseep for a nap which worked out well. We plan on spending every free moment at the beach this summer so the kid better start to like it right?

egg hunt...

The kids were really into the egg hunt concept this year. They had a blast when they woke up Easter morning finding all their eggs and baskets and couldn't wait to do a hunt outside after brunch. They had a blast finding the eggs and even more fun eating MORE sugar...

easter {2012}...

We had a hectic morning and a laid back afternoon today. Audrey was really excited about the Easter Bunny coming this year which was fun. Her & Chase woke up after 7 (well Chase woke up and we then woke Audrey up) and they both ran downstairs finding all the eggs and their baskets in record time. They also ingested a ton of sugar in record time but that is what Easter is for right? Grayson then got up (yes he sleeps later than his siblings) and we all rushed to get ready for church. We made it and actually found seats which was good, but I remembered why we don't go more often. It is stressful trying to keep now 3 kids quite and entertained for an hour and it is just not enjoyable. Hopefully God understands... We then went straight to brunch at Aquitaine which was actually a decent dining experience. The kids were pretty good, the food was great and the waitress got us in and out of there quickly which is key. So I would call our first time to a restaurant with 3 kids successful though we aren't doing it again anytime soon... We've spent the rest of the day hanging out, having eggs hunts and playing outside.I'll take it!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

its back!

If you know me at all I am not a fan of baby "stuff". I dread all the plastic sitting around my house for long periods of time. There is one thing I LOVE though, and it is the bumbo. Whoever came up with this molded piece of plastic is brilliant. First of all it takes the cutest pictures... Second of all you can plop them everywhere and they can see instead of being on the ground. I thought Grayson would be to young for it but I got one last week from a preschool mom (long story but I have borrowed it with each kid from a different person and now with the 3rd I was given one, ha!) and low and behold he is fine in it... Some of the many bumbo pictures to come I am sure...

{real} movie time...

We have been doing our fair share of movie watching since I have been home for better or worse... Since Chase dropped his nap it has been the only time I get to myself! I call it rest time after lunch and Chase calls it "movie time"... But neither Audrey or Chase have every been to a real movie, like to the theater. Sad right? I'm not a huge movie person which is probably a large reason for this (I would much rather watch one in the comfort of my home with a glass of wine) but it is sad just the same. When I saw the Lorax was coming out I decided it would be a good first movie for them. I originally was just going to take Audrey but wasn't sure how that would go over (Chase wants to do everything she does, of course). Then I found out from a preschool mom about a "mommy" movie showing at one of our local theaters . It is a 10 am show that caters to moms and young kids (lights are on a bit, music not as loud as usual, etc) which I thought was brilliant and a great way to introduce the theater to the 2 of them. Of course they only do it on the 1st Monday of every month. Audrey happens to be in school on Mondays. So she played hooky today :) Overall it was pretty fun. It was little too long for Chase but he sat the whole time. Audrey loved it and asked tons of questions. Grayson slept in my arms the entire time. I would call it successful, right?

Here's some not-so-great documentation from my phone...
